One injured after train collides with tractor-trailer in Rosedale – Baltimore Sun
One person was injured Tuesday after a train collided with a tractor-trailer in Baltimore County, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
The collision occurred around 10 a.m. in the 7500 block of Lake Drive in Rosedale, the fire department said. The collision caused the tractor to split from its trailer, a photographer observed at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries and refused transport to a hospital, the fire department said.
The fire department added hazmat crews responded to the scene and did not detect any chemicals released due to the collision.
“Our hazmat, fire, and EMS crews assess each incident upon arrival, identify any hazardous materials, and liaison with those responsible to ensure the public’s and environment’s continued safety,” Baltimore County Fire Department Spokesperson Travis Francis said.
Baltimore County Police Department Spokesperson Trae Corbin said an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
Several accidents have occurred at the Rosedale crossing. In 2013, a train derailed after crashing into a truck, and in 2019, one person was seriously injured after a freight train struck a car.
